Apple Cheese Crisp
|Sugar||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
|Lemon juice||2 Tablespoon|
|Sifted all purpose flour||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Butter||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Grated sharp cheddar cheese||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Pouring cream||1 Tablespoon|
Heat oven to 350 degrees.
Butter 1 1/2-qt casserole.
Peel and core apples and cut into thin slices.
Mix with 2/3 cup sugar and spices.
Turn into casserole.
Pour water and lemon juice over.
Sift flour, 2/3 cup sugar and salt into a bowl.
Cut in butter finely.
Stir in cheese with a fork.
Sprinkle mixture over apples.
Bake 45 minutes or until apples are tender.
Serve warm with cream.
