Baked Apple Sweeties

Ingredients
  Apples 6 Medium
  Raisins/Dates 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Brown sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Water 1 Cup (16 tbs), boiled
  Butter 2 Tablespoon
  Cinnamon 1⁄2 Teaspoon, ground
  Nutmeg 1⁄4 Teaspoon, ground
  Cloves 6 Small (Optional)
Directions

GETTING READY
1. Preheat Dutch oven at 300 degrees Fahrenheit.

MAKING
2. Remove the apple cores and peel each about 1/4 way down from the stem.
3. Fill the apple pits with raisins or dates.
4. Arrange in a dutch oven.
5. Mix the brown sugar, water, butter, cinnamon and nutmeg.
6. Pour mixture over apples.
7. Add 1 clove to each apple, if you wish.
8. Cover and bake for 2 hours at 300 degrees Fahrenheit.

SERVING
9. Serve warm or cool, as you wish.
