Microwave Apple Betty
|Apples||2 Pound, sliced to make 6 cups|
|Lemon||1 , peel grated, juiced|
|Brown sugar||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Sugar||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Soft bread crumbs||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Butter||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), melted|
1. In a large bowl, combine apples, lemon peel and juice, sugars, cinnamon, and cardamom. Toss to coat apples with the flavoring ingredients
2. In a microwave proof baking dish layer the bread crumbs, alternating with apple mixture. The last layer should be covered with crumbs.
3. Pour melted butter over top and cook on HIGH (9) for 8 to 10 minutes or until apples are tender.
4. Serve warm or cold with cream
