Ingredients
  Granny smith apples 5 Medium, peeled and sliced
  Fresh lemon juice 1 Tablespoon
  Brown sugar 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Ground cinnamon 3⁄4 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Ground nutmeg 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Unsalted butter 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
Directions

In a large skillet over medium heat toss the apples with the lemon juice.
Add the brown sugar, cinnamon, salt, nutmeg, and butter, stirring to combine.
Cover and cook for 30 minutes, or until the apples have softened.
