Cheese And Apple Torte
|Butter||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), softened|
|Flour||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Cream cheese||8 Ounce, softened|
|Peeled sliced apples||4 Cup (64 tbs)|
|Sliced almonds||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
Cream butter, 1/3 cup sugar, and 1/4 tea spoon vanilla.
Blend in flour.
Spread dough onto bottom and 1-1/2 inches up the sides of a 9-inch spring-form pan.
Combine cream cheese and 1/4 cup sugar.
Add egg and remaining 1/2 teaspoon vanilla.
Pour into pastry-lined pan.
Combine 1/3 cup sugar and cinnamon.
Add apples, spoon over cheese layer.
Sprinkle with sliced almonds.
Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes; reduce heat to 400 degrees and bake for 35 minutes.
Cool before removing from pan.
