Apple Cinnamon Swirl Loaf
|Active dry yeast||1 Tablespoon (1 Package)|
|White one layer cake mix||1 (1 Package)|
|All purpose flour||3 3⁄4 Cup (60 tbs)|
|Chopped peeled apple||2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs)|
|Sugar||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Chopped pecans||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Ground cinnamon||2 Teaspoon|
|Butter||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), melted|
In bowl dissolve yeast in 1 1/4 cups warm water (115° to 120°).
Add egg, cake mix, and salt; beat till smooth.
By hand, stir in enough flour to make a soft dough.
Knead on floured surface till smooth.
(Dough will be sticky.) Place in greased bowl; turn once.
Cover; let rise till double (1 1/4 hours).
Punch down; divide in half.
Cover; let rest 10 minutes.
Mix next 4 ingredients.
Roll half of dough to 12x8-inch rectangle.
Brush surface of dough with some of the butter.
Sprinkle with half of the apple mixture.
Starting at short end, roll as for jelly roll.
Seal side and ends.
Place in greased 8 1/2x4 1/2x2 1/2-inch loaf pan.
Brush top with more butter.
Repeat with remaining dough, filling, and butter.
Cover; let rise in warm place till double (1 hour).
Bake at 375°, 30 to 35 minutes.
Remove from pans; cool.
Drizzle with Confectioners' Icing.
Sprinkle with chopped pecans, if desired.
