Apple Almond Squares
|Butter||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), softened|
|Granulated sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Graham cracker crumbs||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|All purpose flour||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Baking powder||1 Teaspoon|
|Milk||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Tart cooking apple||1 Cup (16 tbs), peeled, finely chopped|
|Chopped almonds||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
In mixing bowl cream butter and sugar together; beat in eggs one at a time.
Stir together dry ingredients; stir into butter mixture alternately with milk.
Stir in apples and almonds.
Spread batter in greased 9" (2 L) microproof baking dish.
Cook at 70% power 8 minutes, then at HIGH 1 1/2-2 minutes until cake tests done.
There may be a few moist spots near centre that will dry in a few minutes of standing time.
