Crunch Top Baked Apples

Ingredients
  Apples 2 (Golden Delicious, Winesap, Or Mcintosh, Each About 3 Inches In Diameter)
  Granola cereal 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Butter/Margarine 2 Tablespoon (At Room Temperature)
  Firmly packed brown sugar 2 Tablespoon
  Apple juice 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
Directions

Core apples, using an apple corer.
Mix granola, butter, and sugar; then press half the mixture into center of each apple, mounding any excess on top.
Set apples slightly apart in a small, shallow baking dish.
Pour apple juice into dish.
Bake in a 350° oven until apples are tender when pierced (about 30 minutes).
To serve, spoon apples and cooking juices into 2 dessert bowls.
Offer cream to pour over apples, if desired.
