Baked Apples With Almonds And Currants

Ingredients
  Apples 4
  Butter 1 Teaspoon
  Sugar free sweetener tablet 2 , powdered
  Grated orange rind 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Cinnamon powder 1⁄2
  Clove powder 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Blanched peeled almonds 1 Tablespoon, chopped
  Black currants 1 Tablespoon
  Vanilla essence 1⁄4 Teaspoon
Directions

Heat oven to 150°C (300°F).
Wash and core apples.
Peel skin from about 1/2" off the tops of apples.
Mix butter, sweetener, orange rind, spice powders, almonds, black currants and vanilla in a small bowl.
Divide into 4 portions.
Stuff apples with filling, pressing it down with the back of a teaspoon.
Pour water into a baking dish to a depth of 1/2" Arrange stuffed apples in water and bake in preheated oven for about 25 minutes till soft.
Serve hot or cold.
