Frozen Cinnamon Apples

Ingredients
  Sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Red cinnamon candies 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Apples 12 Medium
Directions

Combine the sugar, water and candies in a saucepan and cook over medium heat until the candies are dissolved, stirring frequently.
Simmer for 5 minutes.
Peel the apples and cut in halves.
Remove the cores.
Cook the apples, several pieces at a time, in the syrup until just tender.
Do not overcook and do not crowd apples in syrup.
Cool, then place in freezer containers and seal.
Freeze.
