Hot Cider Cup with Baked Apples
|Apples||3 Large, wiped and cored|
|Dry hard cider||4 Quart|
|Whole allspice berries||6|
|Grated nutmeg||2 Teaspoon|
|Canned frozen lemonade concentrate||6 Ounce (1 Can)|
|Canned frozen orange juice concentrate||6 Ounce (1 Can)|
|Light brown sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Sugar||2 Tablespoon (Adjust Quantity As Needed, For Serving)|
|Cinnamon sticks||4 (For Serving)|
Cut the apples in half crosswise and place them, cut side down, in an ovenproof dish.
Bake in a preheated 350° oven for 10 minutes or until tender when tested with a fork.
Meanwhile, pour 2 1/2 cups cider into a very large pan.
Add the spices; cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
Add the remaining cider, undiluted fruit juice concentrates and brown sugar.
Heat through without boiling, stirring occasionally.
Pour the mixture carefully into a large heated punch bowl.
Add the apples, skin side up, and sprinkle them with a little sugar.
Serve at once, ladling the punch into heatproof punch cups.
Garnish each cup with a short cinnamon stick.
