Easy Pickled Crab Apples

Ingredients
  Yellow crab apples 12 Quart
  Cinnamon stick 1 Ounce, broken
  Whole cloves 1⁄2 Ounce
  Sugar 12 Cup (192 tbs)
  Cider vinegar 6 Cup (96 tbs)
  Water 8 Cup (128 tbs)
Directions

Wash the crab apples and pack into sterilized quart jars.
Divide the stick cinnamon and whole cloves among the jars.
Combine the sugar, vinegar and water in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
Cover the apples with boiling syrup.
Place the lids and rings on the jars and process in a boiling water bath for 18 to 20 minutes or until skins on crab apples begin to break.
