Easy Pickled Crab Apples
|Yellow crab apples||12 Quart|
|Cinnamon stick||1 Ounce, broken|
|Whole cloves||1⁄2 Ounce|
|Sugar||12 Cup (192 tbs)|
|Cider vinegar||6 Cup (96 tbs)|
|Water||8 Cup (128 tbs)|
Wash the crab apples and pack into sterilized quart jars.
Divide the stick cinnamon and whole cloves among the jars.
Combine the sugar, vinegar and water in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
Cover the apples with boiling syrup.
Place the lids and rings on the jars and process in a boiling water bath for 18 to 20 minutes or until skins on crab apples begin to break.
