Perfect Fried Apple Rings
|Baking apples||2 Large|
|Butter/Margarine||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) (1/2 Stick)|
|Cinnamon sugar||1 Teaspoon|
1. Core apples, but do not pare; cut each in 4 thick rings.
2. Melt butter or margarine in a large skillet; place apple rings in a single layer in pan.
3. Cook slowly 5 minutes; turn. Cook for 5 minutes longer, or until the apples are tender and lightly browned. Sprinkle generously with cinnamon-sugar and serve warm.
