Apple Cinnamon Popovers
|Thawed frozen egg substitute||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|All purpose flour||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Unsweetened applesauce||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|1% buttermilk||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Low-fat buttermilk||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs) (1% Milk Fat)|
|Reduced-calorie margarine||8 Teaspoon, melted and cooled (Tub, 2 Tablespoons Plus 2 Teaspoons)|
|Ground cinnamon||1 Teaspoon|
|Granulated sugar||3⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Baking soda||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
1. Preheat oven to 425°F. Spray four 10-ounce custard cups with nonstick cooking spray; set aside.
2. In blender process all ingredients until smooth. Pour 1/4 of batter into each prepared cup. Set cups on baking sheet and bake in middle of center oven rack for 25 minutes, until puffed and golden brown.
3. Using a knife, pierce the top of each popover to allow steam to escape; bake 5 minutes longer.
