Easy Apple Brown Betty
|Small bread cubes||4 Cup (64 tbs)|
|Melted butter/Margarine||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Ground cinnamon||3⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Firmly packed brown sugar||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Chopped peeled tart apples||4 Cup (64 tbs)|
|Medium cream||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Ground nutmeg||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
Mix first 5 ingredients and arrange in alternate layers with apples in 1 1/2-quart baking dish.
Bake in preheated moderate oven (375Â°F.) for 1 hour, or until apples are tender and top is brown.
