|Apples||3 Medium, peeled, cored, cut into 1/4-inch wedges|
|Raisin bread slice||2 , cubed|
|All purpose flour/Unbleached flour||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (Pillsbury)|
|Sugar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Grated lemon peel||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Milk||1 1⁄3 Cup (21.33 tbs)|
In large skillet, cook apples in margarine until crisp-tender.
Heat oven to 350Â°F.
Grease 1 1/2 or 2-quart casserole.
Layer apples in greased casserole; top with bread cubes.
In small bowl, beat eggs until well blended.
Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup; level off.
Add flour, sugar, cinnamon, salt, vanilla and lemon peel; mix well.
Beat in milk.
Pour over bread cubes.
Bake at 350Â°F for 45 to 55 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
Let stand 15 minutes.
Store in refrigerator.
