Apple Pan Dowdy

Ingredients
  Cooking apples 3 Large
  Brown sugar 2 1⁄2 Tablespoon
  Corn syrup 2 1⁄2 Tablespoon
  Grated nutmeg To Taste
  Ground cinnamon To Taste
  Self rising flour 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Salt 1 Pinch
  Egg 1
  Milk 5 Tablespoon
  Melted butter/Margarine 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Sugar 1 Tablespoon (Adjust Quantity As Per Taste)
Directions

Peel and slice the apples.
Put into a greased 8-9-inch pie dish with the brown sugar, syrup and a sprinkling of grated nutmeg and ground cinnamon.
Do not add any water.
Cover the dish with foil and bake in the center of a moderate oven, 350°F, for about 15-20 minutes until the apples are nearly soft.
Meanwhile, make a thick batter mixture by blending the flour, salt, sugar, egg, milk and melted butter or margarine.
Spoon the mixture over the apples, sprinkle lightly with sugar and bake in the center of a moderate oven for 30-35 minutes.
Turn the pudding upside-down on to a dish.
