Spicy Apples And Rice

|Tart apple||1 Large, chopped (unpeeled)|
|Onion||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped|
|Celery||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped|
|Rice||3 Cup (48 tbs) (cooked)|
|Brown sugar||1 Teaspoon|
|Raisins||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Almonds||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), sliced|
Pour boiling water over raisins and let stand to plump them, then drain.
Cook celery and onion in butter until tender crisp.
Stir in spices, rice and raisins.
Add apple, cover and let stand 5 minutes.
Sprinkle with almonds.
