Baked Apples With Bourbon

Ingredients
  Winesap apples/Mcintosh, roman beauty / any baking apples in season 6 Medium
  Lemon juice 1 Teaspoon
  Light brown sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Butter 4 Tablespoon
  Bourbon 6 Tablespoon
Directions

Preheat oven to 375° F.
Core each apple and peel around top about one-third of the way down from stem.
Dip tops in lemon juice.
Place in shallow baking dish or pan.
Mix sugar and melted butter.
Pour 1 tablespoon bourbon into each apple cavity.
Bake at 375° F for 45-50 minutes.
Halfway through baking, spoon glaze over apples.
Test apples with fork for tenderness in 45-50 minutes.
