Baked Apples

Ingredients
  Maple syrup/Light brown sugar / honey 1 Tablespoon
  Ground cinnamon 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Raisins 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Coarsely chopped walnuts 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Lemon zest strips 2 , grated or chopped
  Granny smith apples 4 , cored, the top third cut off and discarded
  White wine 6 Tablespoon
Directions

1. Preheat oven to 375° F.
2. Combine maple syrup, brown sugar or honey, cinnamon, raisins, walnuts, and lemon zest in a small bowl. Divide mixture into four parts and stuff inside apples.
3. Place apples in a small baking dish, so that they are touching (the mutual support helps keep them together) and pour the wine around them.
4. Bake for about 1 hour, or until the apples are soft.
