Lemon Carrots And Apples
|Carrots||6 Medium, thinly sliced|
|Apple||1 Large, sliced (peeled)|
|Lemon peel||1 Teaspoon, grated|
|Cheddar cheese||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), shredded|
Arrange carrot and apple slices in alternate layers in saucepan.
Dot with butter; sprinkle with salt, grated lemon peel, and water.
Cover and steam 20 minutes or until tender.
Sprinkle with shredded cheese before serving
