Apples And Potatoes

Ingredients
  Lean bacon 1 Pound, rind removed
  Sweet apples 1 1⁄2 Pound, cored and quartered
  Tart cooking apples 1 1⁄2 Pound, peeled, cored and quartered
  Potatoes 4 Pound, peeled and quartered
Directions

Cover the bacon with water and cook for 30 minutes.
Add potatoes and apples and cook for 30 minutes more.
Remove bacon from the pan and slice it.
Drain and mash the potatoes and apples and place on a flat serving dish.
Top with the sliced bacon.
