Golden Baked Apples
|Baking apples||4 Large|
|Apple pie spice||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Light corn syrup||4 Tablespoon|
|Orange juice||4 Tablespoon|
1 Core the apples and then use a small piece of each core to file the base of each apple.
2 Half way down each apple make a very shallow cut all the way round.
3 Mix the mincemeat with the spice and use to fill each apple cavity.
4 Place the apples in a shallow dish. Pour the dessertspoon of syrup or honey over each one.
5 Pour the orange juice into the base of a 30 x 20 x 5cm/ 12x8x2 inch ovenproof glass dish. Cover with plastic wrap, and pierce.
6 Microwave on full power for 7-10 minutes. Stand for 3 minutes.
7 Spoon the orange juice over the apples. serve with vanilla ice cream.
