Delicious Sliced Apples
|Firmly packed brown sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|All purpose flour||2 Tablespoon|
|Ground cloves||1 Dash|
|Apples||2 1⁄2 Pound, pared, cored and sliced|
|Shortening||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) (Crisco)|
|Water||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
Combine brown sugar, flour and cloves in large bowl.
Stir in apple slices and toss lightly.
Melt Crisco® in large skillet.
Stir in apple mixture and cook over high heat for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Stir in water.
Bring mixture to a boil; cover and reduce heat to low.
Simmer for 10 minutes or until apples are tender, stirring occasionally.
