Apple Retes

Ingredients
  Apples 2 1⁄2 Pound
  Bread crumbs 2 Ounce
  Fat 3 1⁄2 Ounce
  Ground walnuts 2 Ounce
  Sugar 3 1⁄2 Ounce
  Cinnamon To Taste
  Flour 10 Ounce
  Salt 1 Dash
  Egg 1
Directions

Pull out retes dough until thin and when it has dried, dust with fine bread crumbs and sprinkle with melted fat.
Spread pared and thinly sliced cooking apples on the dough and dredge with grated walnuts (or almonds), and castor sugar flavoured with cinnamon.
Roll up and put into greased baking pan, brush with beaten egg and bake in a hot oven until crisp.
