Baked Kraut Unchops With Apples

Ingredients
  Pork loin chops 6 , cut about 1 inch thick
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Brown sugar 2 Tablespoon
  Sauerkraut 16 Ounce, undrained (2 Cups)
  Seedless raisins 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), plumped
  Canned whole onions 12 Small
  Unpared apples 2 , cored and cut into wedges
Directions

Brown the chops on both sides in a large skillet.
Season chops with half of the salt and pepper.
Meanwhile, toss a mixture of brown sugar and the remaining salt and pepper with the sauerkraut.
Mix in raisins, onions, and apples.
Turn sauerkraut mixture into a shallow baking dish.
Top with chops, slightly overlapping.
Bake, covered, at 350°F about 1 hour, or until the meat is tender.
