Baked Kraut Unchops With Apples
|Pork loin chops||6 , cut about 1 inch thick|
|Brown sugar||2 Tablespoon|
|Sauerkraut||16 Ounce, undrained (2 Cups)|
|Seedless raisins||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), plumped|
|Canned whole onions||12 Small|
|Unpared apples||2 , cored and cut into wedges|
Brown the chops on both sides in a large skillet.
Season chops with half of the salt and pepper.
Meanwhile, toss a mixture of brown sugar and the remaining salt and pepper with the sauerkraut.
Mix in raisins, onions, and apples.
Turn sauerkraut mixture into a shallow baking dish.
Top with chops, slightly overlapping.
Bake, covered, at 350Â°F about 1 hour, or until the meat is tender.
