Niagara Apple Cheese Betty

Ingredients
  Coarse bread crumbs 3 Cup (48 tbs)
  Shredded sharp cheese 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Sugar 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Ground cinnamon 1 Teaspoon
  Apples 6 , pared, cored, and sliced
  Cold water 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
Directions

Combine bread crumbs and cheese.
Mix sugar and cinnamon.
Arrange layers of apples, sugar mixture, and crumb mixture in a greased casserole, making 3 layers of each.
Drizzle water over last sugar mixture and top with last crumb mixture.
Bake at 375°F about 45 minutes.
Serve plain or with cream.
