Niagara Apple Cheese Betty
|Coarse bread crumbs||3 Cup (48 tbs)|
|Shredded sharp cheese||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Sugar||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Ground cinnamon||1 Teaspoon|
|Apples||6 , pared, cored, and sliced|
|Cold water||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
Combine bread crumbs and cheese.
Mix sugar and cinnamon.
Arrange layers of apples, sugar mixture, and crumb mixture in a greased casserole, making 3 layers of each.
Drizzle water over last sugar mixture and top with last crumb mixture.
Bake at 375°F about 45 minutes.
Serve plain or with cream.
