Happy Sweet New Year to all who celebrate! Check out these stuffed baked apples for an after school fall snack that Jake & I made in the Price Chopper Kids Cooking Club Kitchen...(there's peanut butter, honey & a little chocolatey flavor added in the mix)
  Apple 1
Peanut butter 2 Tablespoon (Price chopper peanut butter used)
Honey 1 Tablespoon (Price chopper honey used) (Optional)
  Cinnamon 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Cocoa powder 1⁄4 Teaspoon

1. Preheat the oven.

2. Using an apple slicer/corer, cut the apples 80% to the bottom. Remove the slicer/corer and carefully cut or spoon the core from the center. Keep the bottom of the apple intact so that you can fill the hollowed center.

3. In a bowl, combine peanut butter, cinnamon, honey and cocoa powder together. Fill the hollowed centers of the apples with this mixture. Wrap each apple with silver foil and bake for about 20 minutes.

4. Alow the apple to cool slightly just until its comfortable to handle. Serve warm.
