|Flour||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Eggs||2 , beaten|
|Milk||1 Cup (16 tbs) (Scant Measure)|
|Shortening||1 Tablespoon, melted|
Preheat oven to 450Â°F.
Sift flour and salt together.
Mix eggs, milk, and shortening; add gradually to flour.
Beat until smooth, with egg whisk or electric mixer.
Should take about 1 minute.
Pour into greased popover tins, Pyrex cups, or muffin pans to 1/3 full.
Bake 20 minutes at temperature given.
Reduce heat to 350Â°F; bake 15 minutes, until popovers are firm.
