Gumbo A La Creole

Ingredients
  Chopped onions 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Butter/Margarine 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  All purpose flour 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Chicken broth 4 Cup (64 tbs)
  Canned tomatoes 1 Pound
  Okra 1⁄4 Pound, sliced
  Parsley flakes 1 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Thyme leaves 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Cayenne pepper 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Bay leaf 1 , crushed
  Frozen uncooked shrimp 10 Ounce (1 Package, Peeled And Deveined)
  Frozen crabmeat 12 Ounce (2 Package, Thawed)
  Canned clams 10 1⁄4 Ounce (Drained)
  Canned oysters 8 Ounce (Drained)
  Hot cooked rice 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Directions

Place onion and butter in a 3 qt.glass casserole dish.
Cover and microwave 4 to 6 minutes or until tender.
Stir in flour.
Gradually stir in chicken broth.
Add tomatoes, okra and spices.
Cover and microwave 18 to 22 minutes or until okra is cooked.
Stir twice during cooking.
Add seafood.
Microwave, uncovered, 8 to 12 minutes [SIMMER-4, 15 to 30 minutes].
Stir once during cooking.
Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
