Easy Shrimp Creole

Shrimp Creole is a wonderful dish that is perfect for your dinner parties. This sumptuous Shrimp Creole was praised by all my guests at a party I hosted last week. Try this brilliant recipe at home and you will understand why!
  Raw shrimp 1 Pound, peeled and deveined
  Shortening 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Flour 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Hot water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Garlic 4 Clove (20 gm), finely chopped
  Green onion tops 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped
  Chopped parsley 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Chopped green pepper 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Salt 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Whole bay leaves 2
  Crushed whole thyme 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Cayenne pepper 1 Dash
  Canned tomato sauce 8 Ounce
  Lemon slice 1
  Cooked rice 2 Cup (32 tbs)

Cut shrimp in half.
Melt shortening; blend in flour.
Add hot water gradually; cook until thick.
Add remaining ingredients except rice.
Cover; simmer 20 minutes.
Serve over rice.
