Shrimp And Crab Gumbo
|Frozen okra||10 Ounce|
|Parsley||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Tomato sauce||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Crab meat/6 boiled cleaned crabs||2 Can (20 oz), small containers|
|Boiled shrimp||1 Pound|
|Gumbo file||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Fry chopped bacon in 6-quart container over medium heat until browned; remove from pan and reserve.
Brown okra in bacon drippings; add bacon bits, onion, bell pepper, parsley, tomato sauce, salt, pepper and 4 cups water.
Simmer over low heat for 1 hour.
Add crab and shrimp; continue to simmer for 1 hour.
In separate container, add slowly 1 cup water to file, stirring constantly.
Add mixture to gumbo; continue stirring until well combined.
Serve over boiled or steamed rice.
