Southern Cornbread Muffins

|Shortening||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Bread sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs) (Reduce Sugar If You Do Not Like Your Corn Bread to o Sweet)|
|Milk||1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs)|
|Egg||1 , beaten|
|Flour||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Baking powder||4 Teaspoon|
|Cornmeal||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Cream shortening and sugar together.
Add milk and egg.
Add flour, salt and baking powder.
Add cornmeal, stirring just enough to mix.
Spoon into greased muffin tins and bake until done.
Bake at 425 degrees 25 minutes
