Southern Cornbread Muffins

Ingredients
  Shortening 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Bread sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs) (Reduce Sugar If You Do Not Like Your Corn Bread to o Sweet)
  Milk 1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs)
  Egg 1 , beaten
  Flour 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Baking powder 4 Teaspoon
  Cornmeal 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Directions

Cream shortening and sugar together.
Add milk and egg.
Add flour, salt and baking powder.
Add cornmeal, stirring just enough to mix.
Spoon into greased muffin tins and bake until done.
Bake at 425 degrees 25 minutes
