Minnesota Wild Rice Muffins

Ingredients
  All purpose unbleached flour 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Whole wheat flour 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Sugar 1 Tablespoon
  Baking powder 4 Teaspoon
  Soda 1 Teaspoon
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Minced onion flakes 1 Teaspoon
  Sage 1 Teaspoon
  Thyme 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Cooked wild rice 1 Cup (16 tbs), well drained
  Eggs 2
  Buttermilk 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Melted butter 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
Directions

Combine the first ten ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
Whisk the eggs, buttermilk and melted shortening in another bowl.
Combine quickly, pouring the wet ingredients into the dry.
Spoon into greased muffin tins.
Bake until done and serve warm.
Bake at 375 degrees 22-25 minutes
