|Whole wheat flour||2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs)|
|Sugar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Butter||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (or margarine)|
|Water||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Salt||To Taste (or herb seasoning)|
Combine the dry ingredients.
Add the butter or margarine, and mix until thoroughly blended.
Add the vanilla and water, and mix until smooth.
Roll out paperthin on a lightly floured board, or roll directly on a greased baking sheet.
(Use the bottom of the baking sheet if the sheet has sides.)
Lightly sprinkle with salt or herb seasoning, cut into squares with a pastry wheel, and bake in a 400Â° F. oven for 5 to 8 minutes or until crisp.
If the outer rim browns too quickly, remove the browned sections and return the unfinished portions to the oven.
