Creole Wieners

Ingredients
  Bacon slices 8 , diced
  Minced onion 3 Cup (48 tbs)
  Canned tomatoes 16 Ounce
  Salt 3⁄4 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Frankfurters 1 Pound
Directions

In large skillet, fry bacon and onion until bacon is crisp and onion is tender.
Drain all but 2 tablespoons bacon drippings from skillet.
Stir in tomatoes, salt and pepper.
Heat to boiling; reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add frankfurters; cover and simmer 15 minutes.
