Easy Ginger Snaps With Molasses
|Shortening||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Packed brown sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Molasses||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|All purpose flour||2 1⁄4 Cup (36 tbs)|
Mix thoroughly shortening, brown sugar, egg and molasses.
Blend in remaining ingredients except granulated sugar.
Cover; chill 1 hour.
Heat oven to 375Â°.
Shape dough by rounded tea-spoonfuls into balls.
Dip tops in granulated sugar.
Place balls sugared side up 3 inches apart on lightly greased baking sheet.
Bake 10 to 12 minutes or just until set.
Immediately remove from baking sheet.
