Boston Brown Bread
|Whole wheat flour||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Soda||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Rye flour||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Salt||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Cornmeal||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Molasses||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Sour milk||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
Sift together dry ingredients.
Stir in the molasses and sour milk.
Fill greased molds 2/3 full, cover closely and steam 3 1/2 hrs.
1 cup floured raisins may be added if desired.
