Fresh Berry Charlotte
|Strawberries/Raspberries or black-. berries||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Soft white bread crumbs||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Sugar||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Orange juice||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Butter/Margarine||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
Combine first 3 ingredients; combine orange juice, butter or margarine and egg yolks, and stir into berries.
Spread in greased 1 1/2-quart casserole dish.
Beat egg whites and salt together until soft peaks form; then beat in 2 tablespoons sugar gradually.
Spread meringue evenly over fruit mixture.
Bake at 350 Ã‚Â°F.about 35 minutes.
Serve warm with cream or Custard Sauce.
