Creole Black-Eyed Peas

Ingredients
  Bacon strip 6
  Chopped celery 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Chopped green peppers 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Chopped onions 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Black eyed peas 1 Can (10 oz) (No. 303)
  Tomatoes 1 Can (10 oz) (No. 303)
  Salt To Taste
  Pepper To Taste
Directions

Fry bacon until crisp; drain.
Simmer celery, green peppers and onions in drippings until tender.
Crumble bacon; combine with peas and tomatoes.
Blend tomato mixture with onion mixture; season with salt and pepper.
Simmer, covered, for 20 min- utes longer.
