Ginger Snaps

Ingredients
  Shortening 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Brown sugar 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Egg 1
  Molasses 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Sifted flour 3 Cup (48 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Soda 2 Teaspoon
  Cloves 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Cinnamon 1 Teaspoon
  Ginger 1 Teaspoon
  Sugar 1
Directions

Cream shortening and brown sugar.
Add egg and mo- lasses; beat well.
Sift flour with salt, soda and spices; add to molasses mixture.
Mix well.
Chill.
Form into small balls; roll in sugar.
Place 2 inches apart on cookie sheet.
Bake in 375-degree oven for 10 min- utes.
Yield: 9-10 dozen.
