|Ready to cook stewing chicken||4 1⁄2 Pound, cut up (1 Chicken, 4 To 4 1/2 Pound)|
|Okra||4 Cup (64 tbs), thinly sliced|
|Canned tomatoes||16 Ounce, cut up (1 Can)|
|Onion||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped|
1.Take a 4 1/2 quart Dutch oven and keep the chicken in it.
2.Put 2 cups water and 1/2 teaspoon salt in it and let the ingredients boil.
3.Lower the flame and simmer for 2 hours after covering till the chicken is soft.
4.Take the chicken out and keep aside the broth.
5.Pull the flesh and discard the bones.
6.Cut meat in small cubes and take the fat out from broth.
7.Put the chicekn in broth and add okra, tomatoes, onion, sugar, 2 teaspoon salt and 1/8 teaspoon pepper to it.
8.Put the lid on and simmer for 11/2 hour until okra is soft.
