Something I came up with when I saw Jeff's 'Kentucky Fire Crackers' over at bolongaringranch. I immediately thought of chicken wings, and this is how to make them. They were so good served with some of my homemade 'Beer Cheese Dip'.
1 Tablespoon (to grease grill)
Fresh ground black peppercorn
1 Cup (16 tbs)
Red pepper flakes
1⁄8 Cup (2 tbs)
1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
Ranch dressing mix
1 Ounce (1 packet)
1)In a large bowl combine canola oil, red pepper flakes and ranch dressing, garlic powder and salt and whisk well, set aside this mixture.
3)Get the grill ready and oil it with a brush doused in canola oil to keep it from sticking.
4)On a large tray or cutting board season the wings with salt and pepper and place on the grill for 40 minutes, making sure they are turned every 6 minutes.
5)With the help of tongs remove the hot wings from the grill and gather in the bowl, add a few spoonfuls of the sauce into the bowl and toss the wings, leave it to rest for a few minutes.
6)Some more of the spice mixture goes next, toss well and let it rest till serving time.
7)Serve with your favorite white sauce dip and celery or plain and enjoy!
8)Use the spice mixture liberally or to your liking if you like your chicken wings less hot and spicy.
