Apple Cobbler Cake
|Tart apples||6 Medium, pared, quartered, cored, and sliced for 6 cups|
|Ground cinnamon||1 Teaspoon|
|Yellow cake mix||15 1⁄4 Ounce (1 Package Loaf-Size)|
|Butter/Margarine||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), melted (1 Stick)|
|Light cream/Table cream||1 Tablespoon|
1 In a large bowl,combine apples,sugar and cinnamon.Sprinkle 1/2 cup of the dry cake mix over the top and toss until the apples are evenly coated. Spoon into a buttered baking pan, 8x8x2; cover.
2 Bake in a moderate oven at 350 degrees farenheit for 30 minutes; remove from the oven.
3 In a medium-size bowl, mix the remaining cake mix and walnuts; drizzle melted butter or margarine over the top and toss until mixture forms large crumbs. Sprinkle evenly over partly cooked apple mixture.
4 Bake for 20 minutes longer, or until the topping is puffed and golden. Cool slightly.
5 Serve warm with cream.
