Cinnamon Spiced Peach Cobbler

Ingredients
  Sliced peaches 29 Ounce
  Lemon juice 2 Teaspoon
  Cinnamon 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Cornstarch 1 1⁄2 Tablespoon
  Beer 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  All purpose flour 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Baking powder 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Shortening 3 Tablespoon
Directions

GETTING READY
1) Preheat oven at 400°F

MAKING
2) Drain the peaches reserving syrup.
3) In a bowl toss peaches, lemon juice, and cinnamon.
4) Arrange the fruits in a buttered shallow 1 1.2 -quart baking dish, 10 x 6 inches, or 8 inches square.
5) In a small saucepan mix cornstarch, 1/4 cup reserved syrup, and 3/4 cup beer.
6) Stir the mixture and cook till thicken and clear.
7) Pour the mixture over peaches.
8) Bake for 15 minutes till bubbly.
9) Add flour, baking powder, and salt.
10) Mix 1/2 cup reserved syrup or use 1/2 cup beer with 1 tablespoon sugar.
11) Stir till the dough forms a ball.
12) On the peaches drop large spoonfuls onto peaches.
13) Bake for further 25 minutes.

SERVING
14) Serve hot.
