Garden Slaw

Cabbage is one of my favorite vegetables. I make cabbage very often and so this garden slaw recipe is one that I like to add variety to my daily menu.
Ingredients
  Shredded cabbage 8 Cup (128 tbs)
  Grated carrots 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Green pepper To Taste, slivered
  Chopped onion 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Unflavored gelatin 1 Tablespoon
  Sugar 2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)
  Vinegar 2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)
  Celery seed 2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Salad oil 2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)
Directions

Mix cabbage, carrots, green pepper and onion.
Sprinkle with 1/2 cup water; chill.
Soften gelatin in 1/4 cup water.
Mix sugar, vinegar, celery seed, salt and pepper in saucepan; bring to a boil.
Stir in softened gelatin.
Cool until slightly thickened; beat well.
Beat in salad oil gradually.
Drain vegetables; pour dressing over top.
Toss lightly
