Pinwheel Plum Cobbler
|Plums||10 Large, halved, pitted and sliced|
|Apples||2 Medium, pared, quartered, cored and sliced|
|Sugar||2 1⁄4 Cup (36 tbs)|
|Sifted all purpose flour||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Ground cardamom||1 Dash|
|Refrigerated crescent rolls||8 Ounce (1 Package)|
|Grated lemon peel||2 Teaspoon|
1 In a 12-cup baking dish,combine fruits.Sprinkle with 2 cups of the sugar, flour and cardamom; toss to mix well; cover.
2 Bake in a hot oven at 400 degrees farenheit for 30 minutes, or until bubbly around the edge.
3 While the fruits cook, separate crescent rolls into 4 rectangles. Mix remaining 1/4 cup sugar and lemon peel in a cup; sprinkle over the rectangles. Roll up,in jelly-roll fashion; cut each into 4 slices. Arrange on top of hot fruit mixture.
4 Bake for 20 minutes longer, or until the biscuits are golden.
5 Serve warm, with ice cream (optional)
