Holidays Boston Brown Bread

Ingredients
  Raisins 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Water 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Soda 2 Teaspoon
  Butter 1 Tablespoon
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Flour 2 3⁄4 Cup (44 tbs)
  Baking powder 1 Teaspoon
  Sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Molasses 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Egg 1 , beaten
  Nuts 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped
Directions

Combine raisins, water, soda, butter and salt in saucepan; bring to a boil.
Cool.
Sift flour, baking powder and sugai: together; stir in raisin mixture.
Add molasses, egg and nuts; mix well.
Spoon batter into 4 greased number 2 cans.
Bake at 325 degrees for 40 minutes or until bread tests done.
