Early American Pear Pie

Ingredients
  Sugar 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  All purpose flour 2 Tablespoon
  Ground nutmeg 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Ground cinnamon 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Ripe pears 6 Cup (96 tbs), sliced peeled
  9 inch double crust pie pastry 1 , unbaked
  Butter 2 Tablespoon
Directions

Mix first 4 ingredients; add pears and mix lightly.
Line pie pan with half of pastry.
Add filling and dot with butter.
Adjust top crust.
Bake in preheated hot oven (425°F.) for about 50 minutes.
Serve warm or cold.
