This delicious and filling Boston bread is made yummy with seedless raisins. A great day to start off your day fit and fine!
Ingredients
  Flour 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Mealie meal 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Butter 2 Tablespoon
  Buttermilk 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Seedless raisins 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Wholemeal 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Soda bicarbonate 2 Teaspoon
  Syrup 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Salt 1 Pinch
Directions

Heat syrup and butter and add salt.
Mix meals and add raisins.
Stir warm syrup and butter into milk and blend with the dry ingredients.
(The Bi-carb.
should be mixed with the dry ingredients).
Fill greased tins two-thirds full.
Cover with greaseproof paper and then the lids.
Steam for 2% hrs.
Remove cover and bake till dry.
Turn onto wire rack and allow to cool.
